I enjoyed the annual Childline concert last Thursday. It was sold out, so I imagine some of you were in the audience too. As ever, it was a mixture of toe-tapping tunes mixed with poignant stories of the children who call Childline. PYO contributed tunes from Miss Saigon and a Christmas medley. By the end of the evening I’m sure all the children knew the Childline number by heart, should they ever need it.
I was back in the Concert Hall on Saturday night enjoying the Scottish Chamber Orchestra playing three Beethoven pieces. Su-a Lee, patron of PYO, was at the front of the SCO in the cello section. She has kindly said that she will donate some free tickets for PYO members to her next concert in Perth.
I’m delighted to say that we now have three new committee members joining us this autumn, which will help us as prepare to change our legal entitity, implement our Child Protection Policy and start preparing for the next tour.
Wishing you all the best over the Christmas season, and thanking you for your continued support of the orchestra.
