Following a success season at Perform in Perth’s 100th Festival earlier this year, Eva Seba, from the Community School of Auchterarder, won a place to play a solo with Perth Youth Orchestra. Her chosen piece was the 4th movement of New Rosauro’s Concerto for Marimba and String Orchestra. The movement is named ‘Despedida’ – meaning ‘Farewell’.

Ney Rosauro is considered one of the most important composers for percussion of the 20thcentury. In 2023 he was inducted to the Hall of Fame of the Percussive Arts Society.

Eva’s dazzling performance, which was conducted by Mr Allan Young, delighted an appreciative audience in Perth Concert Hall.
